Salteña Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 420 -430°* 

  2. Bake for 22 – 27 min or until crust is dark golden brown

  3. space out salteñas 2 inches apart

  4. **Keep frozen -  from freezer to oven

  5. * Oven temp. may vary

Cuñape Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°* 

  2. Bake for 30 min until golden (after 10 min. rotate) 

  3. space out 2 inches apart

  4. **Keep frozen -  from freezer to oven

  5. * Oven temp. may vary 

FAQs

Why does juice leak out of the dough during baking?
  1. Salteñas must be kept frozen while oven is being preheated to 420.

  2. Oven temps vary. You might need to adjust 10 or 20 degrees higher or lower.

Why does the Salteña stick to the pan after it is baked?
  1. For baking please use the wax paper provided as a pan liner, you may also use non-stick spray.

  2. Once the Salteña is cooked please wait a couple of minutes before you pick up and enjoy.
